Our Projects

Current Outreach

Support our 2024 Homelessness Outreach program every second Friday of the month by volunteering your time. You can also help support GUIH through cash donations, so that we can continue to reach out to vulnerable people in the streets of Melbourne CBD, St Albans and Sunbury. Our mentor / buddy support program is also expanding, and we are needing more mentors to support more vulnerable people who are engaging with this program. Please volunteer and make a difference in peoples life’s.

Eradicating Homelessness is everyone’s responsibility.

Our Mentor Outreach and Mentoring Program

Through this program we engage with people sleeping it rough in the streets. We make them feel wanted and respected. We engage with them giving them hope through our support. We identify their strengths and encourage them in moving forward. We add value and build their confidence through small measurable steps.

Give a little, help a lot

Overseas Housing the Homeless Destitute - OHHD

There were so many aged women and men uncared for by their children in the operational areas of the Society of APARA. Hence, it started a home for the aged in Govindamedu village in the year 2007.

The women and men staying in this home are above 65 years old. Many of them are sick and limited in their mobility. The Society gives motherly care and attends to the needs of these elderly people. GUIH has collaborated with APARA to support these destitute.

$50 or $100 will go towards food and medical expenses.
