Our Mission is about making a difference. One person, one family & one project at a time.
Our Chairman ‘Alister Fuller’s main area of expertise has been dealing with homeless people in Melbourne CBD since 2017.
With this experience on hand, Alister gathered a few like-minded people working in the fields of Social Work, Community Development and with real-life experience, to find ways in serving this cohort of people who are Homeless sleeping it rough. This is how GUIH was born in June 2021.
Due to the pandemic, Alister had to stop feeding the homeless in CBD on Monday nights. Now that the pandemic is over GUIH volunteers have started reaching out to the people struggling in the streets of Melbourne CBD, Sunbury, Tarneit, Clayton South, Frankston and St Albans through outreach.
GUIH exists to give them hope and let them know that they are not alone during this difficult time.
GUIH tries hard to journey with this cohort of people in finding ways in bridging the gaps in services and getting them back to some stability in life.
