Overseas Vocational Training for Women (OVTW)
GUIH has collaborated with APARA to identify poor adolescent girls and women and provide vocational skill training, namely in tailoring and type writing.
This will help them gain long-term employment and be self-sufficient.
$50 will go towards tutoring, travel cost, stationary and any other incidental expenses.
$100 will support partial funding towards purchasing a sewing machine that will assist them in becoming self-employed.
Please donate to our online account and mention (OVTW).
Overseas Housing the Homeless Destitute- (OHHD)
There were so many aged women and men uncared for by their children in the operational areas of the Society of APARA. Hence, it started a home for the aged in Govindamedu village in the year 2007.
The women and men staying in this home are above 65 years old. Many of them are sick and limited in their mobility. The Society gives motherly care and attends to the needs of these elderly people. GUIH has collaborated with APARA to support these destitute.
